Quartz is manufactured from natural quartz crystal bound under pressure, which makes its pattern consistent from slab to slab. Long runs match, islands and perimeters read as one surface, and light colors stay light.
The Racine kitchen shown here uses Smyrna Olive quartz — a deep, warm-toned quartz that anchors the room while the stone ties it together.
